Tiernan Finishes 17th at ECAC Championships

Williamstown, Mass. - Senior Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished in 17th place individually, in a field of 300 runners, as the Rams took a 24th place finish out of 44 teams in today's ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships held at Mt. Greylock High School in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Tiernan ran the 8K race in 27:06.24 with a mile average of 5:27.2, leading his team for the sixth straight race this year. Freshman William Frederic (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was second on the team in a time of 29:19.63 in 116th place, while senior Russell Darress (Lynbrook, N.Y.) rounded out the top three Rams runners in 155th in 30:00.13.

For the women's 6K race, sophomore Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) led her team in 113th place while the team finished 36th overall. Bonilla finished with a time of 26:35.97 and a mile average of 7:08.1. Freshman Druscilla Dickson (Copiague, N.Y.) ran a time of 29:04.90 in 208th place for the Rams. The women's field had 276 runners.
