- Tiernan named Runner of the Week, Bonilla named to Honor Roll -
New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the eighth Cross Country report for the 2011 season this afternoon, including Runner of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.
Senior Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Runner of the Week for men's cross country. Tiernan was the individual medalist in the St. Joseph’s Invitational, covering the 5-mile course in 27:19. Sean won by 300 meters, he outpaced 166 other runners and led the Rams to a third place finish as a team.
Sophomore Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll. Bonilla covered the SJC course in 22:40, good for 12th place out of 114 runners as she led the Rams to a fifth place finish.
