Tiernan Leads Rams at Highlander Invitational

Newark, N.J. - Junior Sean Tiernan ran a personal best at
the Highlander Invitational, an 8000m cross country course, placing
5th in the meet in 26:09.45. Sean was the top Division III runner
in the 138 competitor - 15 team meet.
Three more Farmingdale runners set personal bests, including Tim Flynn (19th) - 27:46.28, Russell Darress (38th) - 28:48.57 and Adam Sadler (40th) - 29:09.51, as the team placed 5th overall. Farmingdale State was the 2nd Division III team.
The women's team placed 8th out of 15 teams with all seven women setting 5000m personal bests. Senior Mary Orobona (28th) - 21:09.71 and freshmen Jessica Josema (38th) - 21:31.77 ran outstanding races to lead the team.
