Skyline Releases Cross Country Report #4
- Sean Tiernan named Runner of the Week, Mary Orobona named to Honor Roll -
Clifton Park, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the
fourth cross country report for the 2010 season this afternoon,
including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and
Conference statistics.
Junior Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) was named Skyline Conference Runner of the Week for men's cross country. Tiernan turned in another strong performance, finishing eighth in a field of 59 runners at the Wesleyan (Conn.) Invitational with a time of 27:46 on the 8K course. It was the second sub-28 minute effort of the season for Tiernan. As a team, Farmingdale State placed fourth out of six teams.
Senior Mary Orobona (Farmingdale, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) was
named to the Skyline Conference player of the Week Honor Roll for
women's cross country. Orobona paced the
Rams at Wesleyan, finishing 29th in 22:22.
