Skyline Releases Cross Country Report #9

- Sean Tiernan, Sean Daly, Tim Flynn and Melissa Bonilla named to Honor Roll


Clifton Park, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the ninth Cross Country report for the 2009 season this afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Sophomore Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll. Tiernan placed second in a time of 28:04.10 on the 8K course at the Skyline Conference Championship. He finished four seconds out of first place, earning First-Team All-Skyline Conference honors while leading the Rams to their first ever Conference Championship title.

Sophomore Sean Daly (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll this week for men's cross country. Daly took third place (28:33.40) out of 76 runners at the Skyline Championship, finishing 18 seconds behind teammate Sean Tiernan. He was named to the All-Skyline First-Team and helped the Rams capture the team title by a decisive 13 points over runner-up Maritime.

Junior Tim Flynn (Smithtown, N.Y./St. Anthony's) was the third Farmingdale State runner named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll for men's cross county this week. Flynn finished in fourth place individually at the Skyline Conference Championship, in a time of 28:33.40. Flynn was named First-Team All-Skyline Conference for his performance on the 8K course.

Freshman Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Farmingdale) was named to the conference Honor Roll this week for women's cross country. Bonilla placed 7th individually (21:38.90) out of 76 runners on the 5K course at the Skyline Conference Championship. She was named First-Team All-Skyline with her finish.
