
Rams Finish First at St. Joseph's Invitational

Kings Park, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State cross
country team ran at the St. Joseph's Invitational on Saturday,
October 24th at Sunken Meadow Park. The men's team claimed the top
three finishes in the meet and took first place overall, while the
women finished in eighth place.
The Rams were led by sophomore Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville), sophomore Sean Daly (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and junior Tim Flynn (Smithtown, N.Y./St. Anthony's), who finished in first, second and third place, respectively. Tiernan posted a time of 28:32 for the course, while Daly finished in 28:58 and Flynn in 29:30.
Freshman Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Farmingdale) finished in seventh place individually, running a time of 23:03, which places her 16th on the Farmingdale All-Time list for the Sunken Meadow course.
Farmingdale State will compete next in the Skyline Championship on Sunday, November 1st at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y.
