Tiernan and Bonilla Lead Rams at Wesleyan Invitational

Middletown, Conn. - The men's and women's cross country team traveled to Connecticut to compete in the five-team Wesleyan Invitational. Wesleyan is one of the premier Division III cross country programs and on their home course they dominated the meet. Farmingdale's men's team placed a respectable second, led by Sean Tiernan's (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) 7th place finish in a fast 27:43.58. Sean Daly (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) followed in 8th place in 28:07.22 for the Rams.
The women placed third with freshman Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Farmingdale) finishing 16th in 22:25.52. On a very tough course the team had six personal bests for the 5K and 8K.
