
Rams Wrap Up Season at ECAC's

Bristol, R.I. - The men's and women's cross country team traveled to Rhode Island to compete in the ECAC Championships at Colt State Park on Saturday. 48 teams and 323 runners competed in the men's race, while 42 teams and 298 runners were in the women's race.
Farmingdale's men's team, with five of its seven runners freshmen, finished a very respectable 27th. For the women, Farmingdale State was competing as a team for the first time in school history and finished in 37th place.
Freshman Sean Daly (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) led the men's team placing 87th (28:38) followed by freshmen Russell Darress (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook) 145th (29:38), Adam Sadler (South Hempstead, N.Y./Southside) 160th (29:50) and Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) 173rd (30:06). Senior Brandon Gillis (Hudson, N.Y./Hudson) rounded out the top five finishing in 214th place (31:05).
Sophomore Kristyn Ruggiero (Commack, N.Y./Commack) led the women's team placing 116th in a 6K personal best of 26:48. Freshman Sarah Pope (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) placed 190th with a time of 28:12.
Williams College won both the men's and women's races.
