Hoboken, NJ (9/22/2006)- The Farmingdale State men's cross-country team finished in first place of four teams in the 4000-meter race of the Stevens Invitational on Friday afternoon at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. Sophomore runner Mike Landi (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) won the race individually, while the Rams also placed five of the top seven runners to take first place as a team.

Freshman Ray Thomas (Yonkers, NY/Saunders) came in second for Farmingdale State (3rd overall) with a time of 14:37, followed by senior Armann Leifsson (Melville, NY/Hills East) at 14:38 for a fourth place overall finish. Freshman Jermaine Carter (Queens, NY/Mt. St. Michael Academy) came in sixth overall at 14:49, while sophomore Alberto Soberanes (Elmhurst, NY/Newtown) came in seventh at 14:55.
The team will run next on October 8th at the Highlander Invitational at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ.
