KINGS POINT, N.Y. | For the fifth consecutive season, Farmingdale State College women have captured the Skyline Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Led by Co-Track Athletes of the Year performances from senior distance runner Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) and junior sprinter Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.), the Rams paced the four-team field with a score of 222 points.

The FSC men's side placed second in a four-team field with 233 points, including a Co-Field Athlete of the Year display in the throwing events by Jahvirye Wilks (Farmingdale, N.Y.).

First-place finishers in the championships collected First-Team All-Skyline Conference accolades, with second-team kudos going to runners-up.

Haynes picked up second-place finishes in all three events she ran to earn Farmingdale State 24 points on the afternoon, including her times in 800-meter (2:30.83), 1,500-meter (5:01.55) and 5,000-meter (20:06.37). Her time in the 1,500 moves to third on the FSC all-time leaderboard.

McNeil won the 100m (12.73) and 200m (26.15) dash events, ranking seventh and eighth place on the team's all-time ledger, respectively. She also ran the anchor leg on the winning 4x100 (52.83) and 4x400 (4:24.28) relay events. McNeil teamed with sophomore Meghan Cichon (Mahopac, N.Y.), junior Olivia Finnegan (Massapequa, N.Y.) and junior Jillian Kosky (Merrick, N.Y.) in the 4x100 race, while breaking the tape following legs in the 4x400 run by freshman Anabel Rommer (Wells Bridge, N.Y.), Kosky and Cichon.

Senior Emily Russell (Southold, N.Y.) won the 100-meter hurdles (17.93) in addition to placing second in the high jump (1.53m; 5-0.25), long jump (4.76m; 15-7.5) and shot put (10.95m; 35-11.25). Senior Michaela Rapisarda (Deer Park, N.Y.) leaped to a winning mark of 2.32m (7-7.25) in the pole vault, while her 13:36.44 time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase placed second and ranks third on the Farmingdale State all-time list. Other second-place finishes on the afternoon came from Rommer in the 400m (1:04.72), senior Amira Kemp (Copiague, N.Y.) in the 100-meter hurdles (18.50), sophomore Madelyn Karman (Sayville, N.Y.) in the discus (26.72m; 87-8), and senior Lindsey Jolly (Massapequa, N.Y.) in both the 400-meter hurdles (1:14.65) and pole vault (2.12m; 6-11.5).

In men's action, Wilks took home a trio of second-place marks in the discus (40.34m; 132-04), hammer (39.75m; 130-5) and shot put (12.76m; 41-10.5), while a victorious 3,000-meter steeplechase run of 9:43.23 by senior Matthew Calogianes (Deer Park, N.Y.) set the Farmingdale State school record (previous: James O'Brien, 2018, 9:44.20). Seniors Rodney Jerome (Westbury, N.Y.) and Joseph Stocken VI (Miller Place, N.Y.) finished 1-2 in the 110-meter high hurdles in a photo finish, with Jerome's 15.723 tape-breaking time finishing one one-thousandth ahead of his teammate. The duo reversed their finishing order in the 400-meter hurdles event, with Stocken (58.29) topping Jerome by 0.51.

Sophomore Steven Grannis (Farmingdale, N.Y.) is a first-team all-conference recipient after winning the hammer throw with a 40.63m (133-3) mark, while Stocken paced the field in the javelin with his toss of 38.86m (127-6). Sophomore Jovany Philippe (Huntington, N.Y.) registered second-place showings in the long jump (6.33m; 20-9.25) and high jump (1.80m; 5-10.75), with freshmen Daniel Bamfo (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and Samuel Aladegboungbe (Bay Shore, N.Y.) earned silver in the triple jump (13.53m; 44-4.75) and 200-meter dash (23.66), respectively. The 4x400 relay squad of Aladegboungbe, senior Connor McKeever (North Babylon, N.Y.), freshman Renzo Chevez (Westbury, N.Y.) and Stocken placed second with their time of 3:27.42.
