Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women and the Merchant Marine men captured the 2021 Skyline Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Farmingdale State College this afternoon. For the men's overall scoring, Merchant Marine totaled 180 points, while runner-up Manhattanville finished with 170 points. On the women's side, Farmingdale State recorded 194 points and second place Mount Saint Mary tallied 182 points.

The Farmingdale State men won four events, while the women earned seven victories. Rodney Jerome (Westbury, N.Y.) took the 110m hurdles in 16.62 and notched a victory in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.69. 

Joseph McKeon (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) captured the javelin with a throw of 47.50m (155' 10") and Eren Cabaci (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) won the pole vault (3.71m / 12' 2").

For the women, Marina Magoulas (Islip, N.Y.) won the hammer throw as she broke her own school record with a toss of 48.50m (159' 1"). 

Danielle Losquadro (Bethpage, N.Y.) picked up a pair of wins in both the 100m (13.48) and 200m (28.97), while Tiffany Paruolo (Kings Park, N.Y.) won the 3000m steeplechase in 13:35.21. Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) won the 800m in 2:38.38, the 1500m in 5:16.56 and the 5000m in 20:38.56 for an FSC team-high three victories.

Manhattanville won four men's events at the championship. In the 4x100m relay, Nashaun Hill (Elmsford, N.Y.), Charlie Doherty (Wantagh, N.Y.), Bryan Grant (Yonkers, N.Y.) and Jack McDonough (Westbrook, Conn.) took the win with a time of 45.53.

Brandon Guerrera (Selden, N.Y.) notched a victory in the 800m (1:59.61), while Papa Diop (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) won the 1500m in 4:15.69. Shane Kimball (Staten Island, N.Y.) recorded a win in the 5000m in 16:36.38 for the Valiants.

Merchant Marine earned eight wins in men's events and eight in women's events. John Lynch (Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.) won both the 100m (11.56) and 200m (24.17), while Christian Acevedo-Perez (Orlando, Fla.) picked up a victory in the 400m (52.47). 

Ivan Goretoy (West Warwick, RI) won three events this afternoon. He captured the hammer throw (45.78m / 150' 2"), shot put (13.06m / 42' 10.25") and the discus with a toss of 38.82m (127' 4"). William Bucher (Carlisle, Penn.) also took the steeplechase in 10:44.59.

Rounding out the men's victories was the relay team of Acevedo-Perez, Joaquin Olmedo (Blanco, Texas), Richard Schott (Dumfies, Va.) and Patrick Porch (Halstead, Kan.) who won the 4x400m in 3:35.47.

For the USMMA women, Chawisa Staman (Korat, Thailand), Sarah Lyon (Battle Creek, Mich.), Amaranda Teany (Parker, Colo.) and Alina Montenegro (West Palm Beach, Fla.) won the 4x100m relay with a time of 56.46. The Mariners also won the 4x400m relay as Sayra Raya (Wasco, Calif.), Lyon, Veronica Richards (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Montenegro finished in 4:38.49.

Teany won the 400m in 1:07.37 and followed with a victory in the 800m (2:38.38). In the pole vault, Hannah Taylor's (Owings Mills, Md.) height of 2.45m (8' 0.5") earned her the win. 

Madison Reddick (Baker, Mont.) took a pair of events as she won the triple jump with a leap of 10.00m (32' 9.75") and the javelin (36.01m / 118' 2"), while Shea Curren (Kellogg, Idaho) won the discus with a throw of 36.70m (120' 5").

The Mount Saint Mary men recorded three wins and the women had five. For the men, Dabein Walker (Wyandanch, N.Y.) won all three events. He claimed the long jump with a leap of 6.72m (22' 0.75"), the triple jump with a distance of 12.93m (42' 5.25") and the high jump with 1.89m (6' 2.25"). 

The MSMC women were led by Samantha Papadopoulos (Smithtown, N.Y.) who won the long jump with a distance of 4.78m (15' 8.25"), the 100m hurdles in 18.38 and the 400m hurdles in 1:17.71. 

Cyan Scott earned a win in the high jump with a height of 1.40m (4' 7") and Allie Salamone (Sound Beach, N.Y.) won the shot put with a throw of 11.03m (36' 2.25").
