- O'Brien breaks school record in the Steeple -
Ewing, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's outdoor track team finished in 7th and 9th place, respectively, at the NJAC Championships this weekend hosted by TCNJ. The Rams posted nine Top-10 finishes on the men's side and five Top-10's on the women's side.
Seniors Jyaire Ewa (Rochdale, N.Y.) won his third straight title in the Hammer Throw with an NJAC Championship record distance of 56.05m, improving his top-seed regional mark in this event and breaking his own Championship meet record from last season. Ewa also finished 5th in the Discus (37.94m).
Sophomore James O'Brien (South Jamaica, N.Y.) broke the school record for the 3000m Steeplechase after finishing in 9:44.20 and taking 2nd place overall. His time breaks a school record that has stood since 2010.
In the decathlon, sophomore Joseph McKeon (Hyde Park, N.Y.) finished in 2nd place overall with 5,612 points, improving his #3 mark all-time at FSC.
Anthony Miller Jr. (Yonkers, N.Y.) posted a 4th place finish in the 100m with a time of 10.98, moving him to 15th in the region.
Sophomore Samantha Pollucci (Bay Shore, N.Y.) ran a 12.72 in the 100m prelims to improve her #6 all-time mark at FSC.

Erin Lettieri - 5000m, 6th place, 18:45.35, improved her #2 all-time mark
Marina Magoulas - Hammer, 7th place, 38.58m; Discus, 10th place, 29.87m

Stephen Honoré - Triple Jump, 8th place, 12.37m
Thomas Franks - Hammer, 8th place, 41.36m
Nicolas Fratto - 200m prelims, 21.81, #7 all-time at FSC
The Rams will now travel to the West Point Twilight meet on Thursday, May 10th.
