Danbury, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 8th. Farmingdale State senior Jyaire Ewa (Rochdale, N.Y.) was named ECAC DIII Metro Field Athlete of the Week.
Ewa and the Rams competed at the TCNJ Invitational this past Friday and Sunday. Ewa bested 23 competitors in the hammer throw with his winning toss of 55.32m (181' 6"), which came on his fourth attempt of the day. He currently holds the best mark in the Region for the hammer throw and is ranked 10th in Division III.
Farmingdale State next will travel to Galloway, N.J. for the Osprey Invitational hosted by Stockton College on Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th.
