Rams Close Season at ECAC Championships

Westfield, Mass. - The Farmingdale State men's outdoor track team had seven individuals compete at the ECAC Division III Championships on May 18-19 at Westfield State University.

The Rams were led by sophomore Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) who finished sixth overall in the Hammer Throw with a toss of 53.64m (176'). In the 4x400m Relay, freshman Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.), sophomore Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.), sophomore Nikola Georgiev (Kings Park, N.Y.) and junior Jovanni Parkinson (Wyandanch, N.Y.) took eighth place in a time of 3:18.57. Their time moved them to #10 on the FSC All-Time List.

In the 100m, Parkinson finished in 11th place at 10.90 and recorded an eighth place finish in the 200m (22.06). Bamisile took 18th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.81.

The men's team totaled five points and finished tied for 43rd out of 53 teams in their final event of the outdoor track season.
