Ewa, Parkinson and Solomon Lead Rams at Ramapo Invite

Mahwah, N.J. - The men's and women's outdoor track team competed in their first outdoor event of the season on Friday-Saturday, April 1st-2nd at the Ramapo College Track & Field Invitational. The men's team finished in 7th place of the 31 Division I, II and III teams, while the women placed 20th of 29 teams.

Junior Jovanni Parkinson (Wyandanch, N.Y.) qualified for two ECAC events with a 1st place finish in the 200m (22.21) and a 3rd place finish in the 400m (49.76). He also ran the final leg of the 4th place 4x400m Relay team.

Sophomore Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) moved from #3 All-Time to #2 All-Time at FSC with his 2nd place and ECAC qualifying Hammer throw of 170'.

Freshman Tunisia Solomon (Amityville, N.Y.) leaped into #7 All-Time at FSC with her 3rd place finish in the Triple Jump.

 

Other highlights...

Sophomore Nikola Georgiev (Kings Park, N.Y.) ran the 400m for the first time and finished 5th overall, in a time of 50.61.

The 4x400m relay finished 4th overall with a time of 3:25.90 (Idowu Bamisile, Georgiev, Philip Sellitto, Parkinson).

Sophomore Stephen Schmidt (Levittown, N.Y.) placed 6th overall in the discus with a throw of 42.18m.

 

The Rams will now compete at the TCNJ Invitational on Saturday, April 9th in Ewing, N.J.
