Men Place Third, Women Finish Fifth at CTC'S
Collegiate Track Conference Championship

Allentown, Penn. - The men's and women's outdoor track teams placed third and fifth respectively in the CTC Championship, scoring 99 and 63.5 points. The women's finish was the best in school history.
Junior captain James Owen (Riverhead, N.Y./Riverhead) won the decathlon with a two-day 10 event total of 5,329 points. Owen won six of the ten events and placed second in the other four. James also ran on the fourth place 4x400m relay. His decathlon score qualifies him for the ECAC Championship in May and moves him to #4 on the Farmingdale State College All-Time List.
Freshman Corine Magee (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) won the 100m and 200m dashes in 12.41 and 25.90 respectively. She teamed with Janel Monah, Kathleen Clermont and Faustine Chukwuezi to win the 4x100m relay (49.85). Magee finished the afternoon running on the seventh place 4x400m relay with Marjorie Diemicke, Clermont and Chukwuezi in 4:17.71. The finish places the relay team fourth on the FSC All-Time List.
The Rams next travel to Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Thursday, April 22nd - Saturday, April 24th for the Penn Relays.
