2006 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track Season Summary

The men's and women's outdoor track team had four ECAC qualifiers this season. Sophomore captain Reggie Routier competed in two events, while junior Akil Williams, senior Patric Santiago and freshman Jason Chin-Chitty both qualified for one. Williams tied for first place in the High Jump. Santiago finished 4th in the Triple Jump. Routier placed 7th in the Triple Jump and 11th in the 110m High Hurdles and Chin-Chitty placed 14th in the Long Jump.

Both the men and the women finished with their highest finishes in school history at the CTC Championships. The men finished in 6th place and the women finished in 10th. Freshman Kara Grech broke the Pole Vault record at the CTC's with an 8'8" vault for a 3rd place finish. Her highest finish of the season came at the Christopher Newport "Captains" Classic with a second place finish in the Pole Vault.
