David Humphrey (South Shore) led the men's team to a program best 33rd place (9 points) out of 73 teams at the ECAC Track Championships. The meet held at Williams College on May 14th-15th, featured some of the finest track athletes in the country.
Humphrey placed 5th in the 100m in an outstanding 10.87 (10.95 trials). Joseph Boaheng (Dewitt Clinton) placed 7th in the same race in his season best 10.96 (10.96 trials). Humphrey and Boaheng ran the first two legs of the 6th place 4x100m relay in a season best 43.04. They combined with Elloy Cassell (Mt. St. Michael) and Leon Poulard (St. Anthony's) who ran the 3rd and 4th legs. The relay won its heat and placed 6th overall. Humphrey is now 9th on the All-Time 100m school performance list.
Diana Baxter (Commack) ran a 4:57.89 � 1500m to place 20th. This caps a brilliant career for Diana who has been named Farmingdale's Female Athlete of the Year for the past two years.
