Johnson Leads Rams at Albany Great Dane Classic

Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State indoor track teams competed at the Division I University at Albany Great Dane Classic held at the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. on Friday afternoon.

Sophomore Morris Johnson (Binghamton, N.Y.) led the way for FSC with a T6 finish out of 45 competitors in the 60m with a time of 7.22. Johnson's mark fell .01 seconds shy of tying his personal best in the 60m. He also tallied a 27th place finish in the 400m in 52.38.

In the weight throw, sophomore Alexander Cruz-Reyes (Farmingdale, N.Y.) (12.41m / 40' 8.75") and freshman Steven Grannis (Farmingdale, N.Y.) (12.12m / 39' 9.25") finished in 26th and 27th place, respectively.

Freshman Khadia Jenkins (Farmingdale, N.Y.) led the women after taking 23rd in the shot put with a toss of 11.58m (38') and 29th in the weight throw (13.52m / 44' 4.25"). Jenkins now ranks third all-time at FSC in the weight throw and fourth for the shot put.

The Rams next will compete in the Fastrack National Invitational at Ocean Breeze on Friday, February 11th.
