Percival Shines at 2019 UAlbany Great Dane Classic

Staten Island, N.Y. - Junior Justin Percival (Melville, N.Y.) led the Farmingdale State indoor track teams at the 2019 UAlbany Great Dane Classic on Saturday at Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.

Percival, who was the only Division III runner to qualify for the 60m finals, placed fifth of eight in 6.93. In the preliminaries, he finished the 60m in a personal best 6.87, which was .01 seconds shy of tying the FSC school record set by Deshaun Thomas in 2010. Percival's mark of 6.87 is currently tied for the best time in Division III with Kai Cole of Wesley College. In the 200m, he was again the top Division III runner after finishing 17th of 71 competitors in 22.28.

Junior Thomas Franks (Coram, N.Y.) took 14th in the weight throw with a personal best toss of 14.61m (47' 11.25").

For the women, junior Samantha Pollucci (Bay Shore, N.Y.) placed 21st of 40 in the 60m with a time of 8.33.

Farmingdale State next will compete in the NYC Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze on Friday, January 18th.
