Percival Leads Rams at Wagner College Invitational

Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's indoor track teams competed at the Division I Wagner College Invitational held at Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. on Friday.

Junior Justin Percival (Melville, N.Y.) led the way for the Rams as he was the top Division III runner in both the 60m and 200m. In the 60m, Percival took third of eight competitors with a time of 6.93. In the 200m, he placed second out of 49 after finishing in 22.15. His time of 22.15 currently ranks ninth on the NCAA Division III Performance List and is fourth on the FSC All-Time List.

Senior Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.) finished in 17th place in the 200m (23.15) and 400m (51.98), while freshman Joshua Green (Shelter Island, N.Y.) placed 14th of 45 (2:02.12) in the 800m.

In the weight throw, the trio of Thomas Franks (Coram, N.Y.) (13.37m / 43' 10.5"), Blake Borghard (Northport, N.Y.) (13.17m / 43' 2.5") and Griffin Young (West Islip, N.Y.) (11.40m / 37' 5") placed first, second and third, respectively, among Division III competitors.

For the women, sophomore Marina Magoulas (Islip, N.Y.) led the Rams in the weight throw with the top DIII toss of 12.27m (40' 3.25"), which improved her #3 mark on the FSC All-Time List. Also in the weight throw, freshman Iyana Alexandre (Ridge, N.Y.) moved to #8 on the FSC All-Time List with a distance of 9.34m (30' 7.75").

Alexandre took third among non-Division I competitors in the shot put with a toss of 8.98m (29' 5.5"), while junior Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) was the best DIII runner in the mile with a time of 5:41.12. Sophomore Danielle Losquadro (Bethpage, N.Y.) finished the 60m in 8.74, which improved her #8 standing on the FSC All-Time.

Farmingdale State next will compete in the University of Albany Great Dane Classic held at Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex on Saturday, January 12th.
