Rams Compete at St. Joseph's-LI Invitational

South Huntington, N.Y. - On Sunday afternoon, the Farmingdale State men's and women's indoor track teams traveled to St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington, N.Y. for the St. Joseph's-Long Island Invitational.

The women were led by sophomore Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) who recorded a runner-up finish out of 36 in the mile. Lettieri's time of 5:39.05 improved her #6 mark on the FSC All-Time List. Sophomore Samantha Pollucci (Bay Shore, N.Y.) moved to #2 on the FSC All-Time List as she was the top Division III runner in the 60m in 8.04 (placed third of 58). Senior Megan Eiseman (Seaford, N.Y.) (5:52.97) placed 10th in the mile, while senior Nicole Franz (Melville, N.Y.) took 11th in the 800m (2:34.81).

Sophomore Kelsey Jamison (Huntington, N.Y.) posted a team-best 10th place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 11.59m (38' 0.25"). Jamison's throw improved her #3 distance on the Farmingdale State All-Time List. Freshman Gladys Navas (Chesapeake, VA) is now #8 all-time at FSC after her throw of 9.26m (30' 4.75") in the same event. 

The men captured both the 4x200m relay and the 4x400m relay at the meet. The team of Nicolas Fratto (Farmingdale, N.Y.), Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Nikola Georgiev (Kings Park, N.Y.) and Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.) posted the third best time in school history (1:30.74) in the 4x200m relay, while Georgiev, Bamisile, Sellitto and Fratto won the 4x400m relay in 3:23.39.

Sophomore James O'Brien (South Jamaica, N.Y.) earned a fourth place finish out of 51 competitors in the mile (4:40.35) and sophomore Thomas Franks (Coram, N.Y.) took ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 13.80m (45' 3.5").

The indoor track teams return to action on Monday, February 19th for the NJAC Championships at Ocean Breeze Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
