Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State indoor track teams competed at the Fastrack National Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Complex on Friday and set two school records. The event consisted of teams from Division I, II and III institutions. Senior Nicolas Fratto (Farmingdale, N.Y.) set the mark in the 200m, while the team of Megan Eiseman (Seaford, N.Y.), Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.), Nicole Franz (Melville, N.Y.) and Danielle Losquadro (Bethpage, N.Y.) recorded the school record in the Distance Medley Relay.
In the 200m, Fratto placed fourth of 24 competitors in a record time of 21.84 and also recorded a 27th place finish (out of 87) in the 60m. His time of 7.07 in the 60m ranks third on the FSC All-Time List. Junior Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.) earned a sixth place finish in the 200m in 22.61, which is now seventh on the FSC All-Time List. In the 400m, Sellitto's eighth place finish in 50.21 is 10th all-time at Farmingdale State.
Senior Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took 22nd of 50 in the 60m hurdles in 8.44, which was .04 seconds shy of his school record mark from 2016. Senior Jyaire Ewa (Rochdale, N.Y.) finished fourth of 30 in the weight throw with a toss of 17.55m (57' 7").
Eiseman, Ferguson, Franz and Lettieri completed the Distance Medley Relay in a record time of 13:43.82 to earn a fifth place finish in the event. Their time was 14 seconds faster than the previous school record which was set last year. Eiseman also competed in the mile and moved to eighth on the FSC All-Time List with a time of 5:43.82.
Sophomore Samantha Pollucci (Bay Shore, N.Y.) placed 24th of 41 in the 200m (26.68), which is fifth on the FSC All-Time List. Pollucci also improved her #3 time on the list after completing the 60m in 8.11.
Farmingdale State will compete at the St. Joseph's-LI Invitational today at St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington, N.Y.
