Men Finish 18th at ECAC Championships

Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State Indoor Track & Field teams competed at the ECAC Championships at the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex on March 4th & 5th. The men's team registered an 18th place finish out of 50 teams.

Senior Jovanni Parkinson (Wyandanch, N.Y.) led the men with a second place finish out of 23 competitors in the 200m in 21.94. Sophomore Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) took third in the weight throw with a toss of 17.71m (58' 1 1/4").

The 4x400m relay team of Nikola Georgiev (Kings Park, N.Y.), Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.), Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Parkinson finished in sixth place in a time of 3:22.64. The team moved into 10th place on the FSC All-Time List for the 4x400m relay.

In the 4x200m relay, Sellitto, Georgiev, James D'onofrio (West Babylon, N.Y.) and Parkinson took ninth in 1:30.65 and moved to #3 on the FSC All-Time List.

Junior Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) finished in 13th place in the weight throw with a distance of 14.26m (46' 9 1/2").
