Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State sophomore Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) qualified for the Men's Indoor Track & Field NCAA Division III National Championships at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa on March 11th & 12th, 2016. The Championships will be held at the Charles Benson Bear '39 Recreation and Athletic Center.
Ewa punched his ticket in the weight throw after a career-best toss of 17.94m (58' 10 1/4") at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet on February 27th at the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. Ewa is ranked 11th in the Nation for the weight throw with the Top-15 competitors advancing to the NCAA Championships.
