Rams Win Two Events and Post School Record at Ramapo Invite

New York, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's indoor track team competed in the Ramapo College Indoor Select on Saturday, January 30th at the Armory Track & Field Center. The men's team had two wins at the meet, along with a new school record time in the 60m Hurdles.

Senior Jovanni Parkinson (Wyandanch, N.Y.) won the 400m, which is always a very competitive event, in a time of 49.82. His mark stands as the best mark in the NJAC this season.

Sophomore Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.) placed 4th in the 60m Hurdles and broke his own school record with an ECAC qualifying time of 8.46. His mark is currently #3 on the NJAC list.

Sophomore Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) won the Weight Throw with a toss of 17.66m (57' 11 1/4"), improving his #2 All-Time FSC mark. He currently holds the best mark in the NJAC and ranks #6 in all of Division III. He also finished 8th in the Shot Put at the meet with a throw of 12.84m (42' 1 1/2").

On the women's side, sophomore Megan Eiseman (Seaford, N.Y.) won her heat and finished in 30th place overall with a personal best time of 2:40.69.

Freshman Rudiana Anglade (North Babylon, N.Y.) posted a personal best time of 6:12.98 in the Mile, while Tunisia Soloman (Amityville, N.Y.) finished in 9th place in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.14m (33' 3 1/4").

Junior Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) tossed 13.57m in the Weight Throw to finish in 5th place overall.
