Throwers Dominate at Molloy Invite

Molloy Lions Invite @ St. Anthony's High School


Huntington, N.Y. - The men's and women's indoor track team competed this Friday afternoon at the Molloy Lions Invite held at St. Anthony's High School. Sophmore Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) broke the school record in the 20Lb. Weight Throw for the second week in a row and the third time this season.

The previous record she set least week at the CTC Championships was 14.84m (48' 8 3/4"). On her first throw Friday afternoon, she crushed the record with a toss of 15.58m (51' 1 1/2"). She bettered that on her second throw with a toss of 15.60m (51' 2 1/4") to set another new record. She placed 2nd in the event and leads the NJAC Conference.

Freshman Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) threw a personal best in the 35Lb. Weight Throw with a toss of 15.70m (51' 6 1/4"). He tied for fourth in the event and moves to #6 on the FSC All-Time list. Jyaire leads the NJAC Conference and has the second best freshman performance in Division III.

Men's 200m - Jovanni Parkinson, 22.86, 4th place overall

 

The Rams will compete next at the Ramapo Invitational on Friday, February 20th at the New Balance Track & Field Center in New York, N.Y.
