- Brown sets school-record en route to being named Field Athlete of the Week -
Pitman, N.J. - The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its Week 3 NJAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week selections on Monday, January 9. Junior Edward Brown IV (Bay Shore, N.Y.) was named the Field Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Brown captured first place in a field of nine competitors in the weight throw with an ECAC qualifying and school-record throw of 17.44 meters at the Metro Coaches Invitational. The winning performance by Brown in the weight throw currently ranks as the third best men's NCAA Division III mark in the event recorded during the 2011-12 indoor season.
