Rams Qualify Four for ECAC's at Bill Ward Invite

South Huntington, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's indoor track teams qualified four for the ECAC Championships at the Bill Ward Invite hosted by St. John's at St. Anthony's High School in South Hungtington, N.Y.

Freshman Druscilla Dickson (Copiague, N.Y.) finished in fifth place in the triple jump with a leap of 11.13m (36' 6"). Dickson qualified for the ECAC's with her personal best jump and ranks fourth on the FSC All-Time List. Junior Faustine Chukwuezi (Central Islip, N.Y.) jumped an ECAC qualifying 5.28m (17' 4") in the long jump for a seventh place finish.

Sophomore Alix Lamarre (North Bellmore, N.Y.) set a personal best 7.02m (23') in the long jump to finish fifth out of 16 competitors. Limarre is now #5 on Farmingdale State's All-Time List and also qualified for the ECAC Championships. In the 35lb. weight throw, juniors Edward Brown IV (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Mike Jang (Lynbrook, N.Y.) finished in first and third, respectively. Brown's toss of 16.61m (54' 6") improved his ECAC mark, while Jang's throw of 15.81m (51' 11") qualified.

The Rams next will compete at the Metro Coaches Invitational held at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York, N.Y. on Friday, January 6th.
