NJAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week #2 Selections Announced

- Alix Lamarre Posts ECAC Qualifying Mark -


Pitman, N.J. - The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its Week 2 NJAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week selections on Monday, December 12. Rams sophomore Alix Lamarre (North Babylon, N.Y.) was named the Field Athlete of the Week after posting a 7.02-meter mark in the long jump.

Lamarre becomes the first Farmingdale State athlete to ever claim an NJAC weekly men's track & field honor after traveling to South Huntington, N.Y. to compete at the Bill Ward Invitational hosted by St. John's University on Thursday, December 8. He placed fifth in a field of 16 competitors in the long jump with his ECAC qualifying leap. The mark by Lamarre in the long jump currently ranks as the second best men's NCAA Division III leap in the event recorded during the 2011-12 indoor season.
