Men Place Second at CTC Relay's
- CTC Relay Carnival: Sunday, December 5th @ Yale University -
New Haven, Conn. - The Farmingdale State men's
indoor track team placed 2nd in Sunday's CTC Relay Carnival's 15
team meet, for the fourth consecutive year after winning three
relays, placing second in three events and third in two events. Six
individuals and one relay qualified for the ECAC Championships on
March 4th-5th at the New Balance Track and Field Center in
Manhattan.
Junior John Roselle (Huntington Station, N.Y./Walt Whitman) was the individual winner in the 35lb. Weight Throw with a personal best toss of 50' 4 3/4" (15.36m). John teamed with sophomore Ed Brown (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore), who placed 2nd in 49' 11 1/4" (15.22m) to win the Weight Throw Relay. Both are ECAC qualifying marks.
The Long Jump Relay of sophomore Donnell Jones (Valley Stream, N.Y./Valley Stream Central), senior Qasim Ellis (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) and sophomore Alix Lamarre (North Bellmore, N.Y./Mepham) placed second, third and fourth individually to win the event. All three qualfiied for the ECAC Championships.
