Silva Named ECAC Metro Region Goalkeeper of the Month

DANBURY, CT | The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the fall season Players of the Month for October 2022. Player of the Month awards are given out in men's soccer, women's soccer, field hockey, women's volleyball, and football. Nominations for Player of the Month are sent in by member schools and voted on by a committee of associated SIDs.

Farmingdale State senior Justin Silva (Bellerose, N.Y.) has been named the Metro Region Goalkeeper of the Month. In October, Silva and the Rams went 7-1, allowing just four goals (0.50 GAA) with six shutouts. He made 23 saves and held an .852 save percentage in 720 minutes in net.

ABOUT THE ECAC
The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-four-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast.
