Four Rams Named All-Skyline for Men's Soccer

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference's 12 head men's soccer coaches have cast their votes on the 2021 edition of the all-conference team.

For FSC, forward Carlos Rivera (Huntington, N.Y.) and defender Anthony Machado (Carle Place, N.Y.) were each named to the First Team, while midfielder Alex Castano (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and goalkeeper Justin Silva (Bellrose, N.Y.) earned Second Team honors. 

Rivera, a senior, led the team with seven goals, five assists, 19 points, three penalty kick goals and 37 shots on goal. He scored the game-winning goals versus St. Joseph's-Brooklyn and at Yeshiva during the regular season.

Castano controlled the FSC midfield during his senior season and finished third on the team in assists (4), fourth for points (8) and fifth in goals (2). Castano helped the Rams to a 0.79 GAA and eight shutouts.

Machado, a senior, started every game and anchored an FSC defense that held a 0.79 goals against average, a mark that ranks 63rd in the NCAA and recorded eight shutouts (.500 shutout %). He also scored two goals and had one assist. Machado was named Skyline Defensive Player of the Week twice.

Silva, a sophomore, went 9-4-1 on the season with seven shutouts. He held a 0.70 goals against average and recorded 41 saves (.804 save percentage). He led the Skyline in GAA and shutouts. In the NCAA, Silva ranked 27th for shutouts and 50th in GAA.

Farmingdale State's Wilmer Dominguez (Huntington Station, N.Y.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
