Rams Close Regular Season with Loss to Manhattanville

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team hosted Manhattanville in their final regular season game this afternoon and fell, 4-0. The Rams now stand at 9-10 overall and 6-5 in the conference, while the Valiants improved to 13-2-2, 10-0-1.

In the 29th minute of action, Manhattanville's Pablo Bravo Olle (Barcelona, Spain) was awarded a penalty kick after a Farmingdale State hand ball in the box. The Valiants were unable to capitalize on the opportunity after a diving save by FSC freshman goalkeeper Justin Silva (Bellrose, N.Y.) kept the game scoreless. Each team attempted two shots over the final 16:28 as the game went into the break tied 0-0.

Manhattanville quickly broke the scoreless tie only 1:48 into the second half on a Jeffrey Discua (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) goal off the Bravo Olle corner kick.

With 25:11 remaining, the Valiants extended the advantage to 2-0 on a shot from 15 yards out by freshman forward Eli Pardo (Norwalk, Conn.) as sophomore midfielder Nico Diaz (Miami, Fla.) tallied the assist. Less than three minutes later, a score by junior forward Fabori Condi (Conakry, Guinea) put Manhattanville out in front, 3-0.

In the 73rd minute, Condi was fouled in the box and registered a penalty kick goal to extend the Valiants lead to 4-0.

Neither team would score the remainder of the game as Manhattanville went on for the 4-0 victory.

Condi finished the day with a game-high four points on two goals, while Bravo Ollie recorded a pair of assists.

Farmingdale State has earned the #4 seed for the upcoming Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship. The Rams will host a First Round game on Saturday, November 2nd.
