Late Scoring Leads FSC to Skyline Win Over SJC-BK

Patchogue, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team used two second half goals to defeat Skyline Conference opponent St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, 2-0, on Saturday night in Patchogue, N.Y. The game was played at the home site of St. Joseph's-Long Island.

After a scoreless first half in which the Rams (5-4, 1-1) held a 7-3 shot advantage over the Bears (3-8, 1-2), FSC got on the board in the 63rd minute after sophomore forward Kyle Darden (Floral Park, N.Y.) converted the cross in front from William Grajales (Cali, Colombia). With 13:50 remaining, Farmingdale State's Alex Castano (Valley Stream, N.Y.) tallied the games final goal as the Rams earned the 2-0 road victory.

Grajales finished the night with a pair of assists. In goal, senior Scott Flores (Commack, N.Y.) stopped five shots for FSC.

The Rams next will host Purchase in a Skyline Conference game on Thursday, October 4th at 4:00 p.m.
