Farmingdale State Falls in Road Match at Mount Saint Vincent

Riverdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team traveled to Riverdale, N.Y. to face conference opponent Mount Saint Vincent this afternoon and fell, 2-0. FSC falls to 6-6 overall and 3-5 in the Skyline.

The game remained scoreless until the final 1:42 of the first half when Dolphins junior forward Julius Tumukunde (Corona, N.Y.) scored an unassisted goal following a Rams foul to put MSV (7-5-1, 5-1-1) ahead 1-0 heading into the break.

At 63:07, FSC junior midfielder Christian Campos (Huntington Station, N.Y.) recorded a shot that was saved by Dolphins sophomore goalkeeper Padelis Astrinidis (Flushing, N.Y.). Only 24 seconds later, senior midfielder Andrew Gomez (Murrieta, Cali.) tallied an unassisted goal to give Mount Saint Vincent a two goal lead.

Neither team scored over the final 26:29 of the contest as Astrinidis totaled five saves in the 2-0 shutout victory.

The Rams next host non-conference opponent New Rochelle on Thursday, October 19th at 5:00 p.m.
