Madison, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team earned a 2-0 non-conference road victory at FDU-Florham this afternoon in Madison, N.J. With the win, the Rams improved to 2-1 on the year, while the Devils dropped to 0-4.
In the 13th minute of action, FSC junior midfielder Christian Campos (Huntington Station, N.Y.) scored in front of the net off the feed by sophomore forward Carlos Rivera (Huntington Station, N.Y.) to put the Rams on top, 1-0. Farmingdale State out shot FDU-Florham 7-4 in the first half as they took a 1-0 advantage into the break.
Farmingdale State's second and the game's final goal came with 12:04 remaining on a score from Tobi Ojuade (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) off John Kender's (Farmingdale, N.Y.) cross in front.
FSC senior goalkeeper Daniel Stern (Kings Park, N.Y.) stopped six shots in the shutout, while sophomore Liam Ryan (Hamilton, N.J.) allowed both goals and had three saves for the Devils.
The Rams next will travel to Purchase College for their first Skyline Conference game of the season on Saturday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m.
