Rams Fall 2-0 at Sage in Skyline Finals

Albany, N.Y. - The third-seeded Farmingdale State men's soccer team fell, 2-0, at #1 Sage in the Skyline Conference Finals this afternoon at the Albany College of Pharmacy Sports Complex.

Sage (13-3-3) opened the scoring only 3:26 into the contest as freshman forward River Seybolt (Seldon, N.Y.) scored off a cross and rebound on the pass by Paul Reynoso (Fulton, N.Y.). The Gators took 13 first half shots, while holding Farmingdale State (10-9-2) to only three as the game went into halftime 1-0.

Sage extended their advantage to 2-0 on an unassisted goal from junior midfielder Alex Lanza (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) in the 56th minute of action.

The Rams were unable to score over the final 33 minutes as they fell, 2-0.

Junior goalkeeper Kevin Gordillo (Flushing, N.Y.) stopped a career-high 11 shots in the loss.

Sage earns the conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament beginning next week.
