Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State and Old Westbury ended a Skyline Conference men's soccer game in a 0-0 tie this evening in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams now hold a 6-6-1 overall record and are 3-2-1 in conference action.

After a scoreless 90 minutes of regulation, Farmingdale State sophomore midfielder John Kender's (Farmingdale, N.Y.) shot hit the post with 2:14 remaining in the first overtime. Only 14 seconds later, freshman forward Richard Mastrangelo III (Dix Hills, N.Y.) took a shot that was saved by Peter Sicardi (Kings Park, N.Y.). Old Westbury (4-7-1, 4-1-1) attempted two shots that were both blocked to end the overtime period.

In the second overtime, each team attempted two shots, neither of which were on goal as the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Sophomore goalie Jeff Valencia (Levittown, N.Y.) recorded three saves for Farmingdale State, while Sicardi stopped 10 shots for the Panthers.

The Rams next will host Sage in a Skyline Conference game on Friday, October 16th at 4:00 p.m.
