Farmingdale State - 3, Purchase College - 0
Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team picked up a 3-0 Skyline victory today over Purchase College (1-6, 0-1) to improve to 3-3 overall, 1-0 in conference play. Senior midfielder J.T. Famularo (Levittown, N.Y.) and sophomore midfielder John Kender (Farmingdale, N.Y.) tallied the scores for the Rams in the victory.
In the 16th minute, Famularo opened the scoring off a rebound for a 1-0 lead. Just nine minutes later, Kender also scored off a rebound and the score would stand at 2-0 at the halftime break.
In the second half, Kender added his second goal of the day when he dribbled to the end line and found the back of the net on a shot from the post.
Junior goalkeeper Kevin Gordillo (Flushing, N.Y.) got the win making five saves for Farmingdale State, while senior goalkeeper Esteban Aguilar (East Hampton, N.Y.) made 14 saves in defeat for Purchase.
The Rams will now travel to face York (N.Y.) at the Aviator Complex on Tuesday, September 22nd at 5:00 p.m.
