Ramirez Records Hat Trick as Rams Roll

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State junior midfielder Sebastian Ramirez (Central Islip, N.Y.) recorded a hat trick as the men's soccer team earned a 7-0 non-conference victory over Medgar Evers (0-4) this afternoon.

The Rams (1-3) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute on an unassisted goal by Ramirez. Only 3:54 later, Ramierz recorded his second goal of the game off a cross in front from senior midfielder J.T. Famularo (Levittown, N.Y.). Senior midfielder Victor Romero (Bay Shore, N.Y.) converted a penalty kick to put Farmingdale State on top 3-0 heading into halftime.

8:37 into the second half, Romero put FSC ahead 4-0 after scoring on a header as both Famularo and sophomore midfielder Enzo Jerez (Levittown, N.Y.) recorded assists. Ramirez tallied his third goal of the afternoon in the 62nd minute as Farmingdale State took a 5-0 lead.

Junior midfielder Sebastian Morales (South Ozone Park, N.Y.) scored the final two goals of the game en route to the 7-0 win.

Farmingdale State next will head to Staten Island for a non-conference game on Monday, September 14th at 4:00 p.m.
