FSC Drops Non-Conference Game at Baruch

New York, N.Y. - In the first game of the 2015 Farmingdale State men's soccer season, the Rams fell, 2-0, at Baruch on Wednesday evening.

The Bearcats (1-0) opened the scoring in the 19th minute as senior midfielder Myles Bent (Dix Hills, N.Y.) recorded a penalty kick goal.

With nine minutes remaining in the first half, Baruch increased the lead to 2-0 with an unassisted goal by junior forward Oshae Miller (Trelawny, Jamaica). The Bearcats took a 2-0 lead into halftime despite being outshot 5-4 by Farmingdale State (0-1).

Neither team scored in the second half as the Rams dropped the non-conference matchup, 2-0.

Junior goalkeeper Kevin Gordillo (Flushing, N.Y.) had three saves for Farmingdale State, while junior Xavier Carillo (Astoria, N.Y.) stopped three shots for Baruch.

The Rams next will travel to Montclair State for a non-conference game on Monday, September 7th at 7:00 p.m.
