Rams Fall to Stockton on Senior Day

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team hosted Stockton College in a non-conference game this afternoon and fell, 2-0. Today was senior day and Vincent Danetti (Wantagh, N.Y.), Tyler Rollman (West Islip, N.Y.) and Julian Munera (Rego Park, N.Y.) were each honored before the game.

The Ospreys (11-4-4) struck first in the 27th minute as junior forward Tim Sost (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) connected off the feed from freshman Alex Kourahanis (Sicklerville, N.J.).

Stockton held a 9-5 shot and 4-1 corner kick advantage in the first half as they took their 1-0 lead into the break.

With 32:27 left to play, junior midfielder Bobby Spracklin (Easthampton, N.J.) tallied an unassisted goal to increase the Osprey advantage to 2-0.

Stockton held on to their 2-0 lead the rest of the game for the non-conference win.

For the Rams (6-11-1), freshman goalkeeper Robert Tucker (Oceanside, N.Y.) recorded three saves in the first 30 minutes of action and freshman Brian Best (Farmingdale, N.Y.) stopped two shots the remainder of the game. Senior Bobby Varga (Toms River, N.J.) had four saves in the victory for Stockton.

Farmingdale State next will host Yeshiva for their regular-season finale on Tuesday, October 28th at 4:00 p.m.
