Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State and Mount Saint Mary College ended in a 0-0 double overtime tie this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams now stand at 7-6-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the Skyline Conference, while the Knights are 8-3-2, 4-1-2.
With neither team scoring in regulation, Mount Saint Mary outshot Farmingdale State 14-12 and had a 4-3 corner kick advantage. Each team attempted four shots in the overtime periods but neither were able to find the net.
Senior goalkeeper Angelo Viteritti (Huntington, N.Y.) tallied nine saves for the Rams, while senior Matt Darling (Staatsburg, N.Y.) stopped eight shots for the Knights.
Farmingdale State next will play a conference road match at St. Joe's on Thursday, October 24th at 7:00 p.m.
