Rams Pick Up First Conference Win at Yeshiva

Yonkers, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team improved to 1-1 in Skyline play with a 3-0 victory over Yeshiva University on Tuesday night at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, N.Y. The Rams evened their overall record to 5-5, while the Maccabees fall to 0-3 overall, 0-1 in conference play.

Farmingdale State went up 2-0 after the first half with an unassisted goal by senior midfielder Tyler Rollman (West Islip, N.Y.) in the 38th minute and junior defender Vincent Danetti (Wantagh, N.Y.) in the 42nd minute. In the second half with 1:29 remaining, sophomore midfielder Victor Romero (Bay Shore, N.Y.) sent home a pass from freshman midfielder Yaroslav Herin (Glendale, N.Y.) for the 3-0 lead and final goal of the game.

Senior keeper Angelo Viteritti (Huntington, N.Y.) made seven saves for the win and his fourth shutout of the year.

The Rams will now host Old Westbury on Saturday, October 5th at 12:00 p.m. in another conference match-up.
