Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team fell at home, 3-0, to 22nd ranked William Paterson this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams are now 2-5, while the Pioneers improved to 7-0-1.

After a scoreless first 26 minutes of action, William Paterson's senior forward Domenick Candelieri (Pennsauken, N.J.) put the pioneers ahead 1-0 with a shot from the left side into the bottom right corner of the net. William Paterson increased their lead to 2-0 as freshman midfielder Jason Mena (North Arlington, N.J.) scored an unassisted goal off of a rebound in front. The Pioneers held a 14-1 shot advantage in the half and took a 2-0 lead into the break.

In the second half, William Paterson added one goal by Candelieri, his second of the contest, capping off a 3-0 victory.

Farmingdale State freshman goalkeeper Matthew Ward (Farmingdale, N.Y.) made 13 saves in the loss.

The Rams next will host Manhattanville in a non-conference game on Wednesday, September 21st at 4:00 p.m.
