Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team came away with a 3-1 conference win over the College of Mount Saint Vincent (3-6-3, 2-5-2) today on Senior Day in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams improve to 9-9-1 overall, 7-3 in the Skyline.

Senior defender Mat Arthurs (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) scored in the first minute of the game on a shot from 20 yards out to give Farmingdale State the 1-0 lead. The second goal was scored by junior midfielder Ryan Lang (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) in the 23rd minute for a 2-0 advantage.

In the second half, freshman forward Nick Herrera (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) slid to redirect a pass in front from junior forward Tyler Balzer (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) for a 3-0 score.

The Dolphins broke the possible shutout on a penalty kick with 52 seconds remaining, scored by junior midfielder Hugo Hernandez (West Harrison, N.Y./Woodlands).

Senior goalkeeper Ray Levan (Brentwood, N.Y./Brentwood) made two saves in the victory, to improve his season record to 2-1. Junior goalkeeper Javier Mandujano (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) made six saves in defeat.

Farmingdale State is currently in first place in the conference and will await the results of today's other Skyline games for their seed in the upcoming Playoffs.
