Farmingdale, N.Y. – Farmindale State (6-8-1) tied the Centenary College Cyclones (5-6-1) in a non-conference men's soccer game this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. Junior goalkeeper Ricky Meschkow (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview-Old Bethpage) made 10 saves for the Rams in 110 minutes of play.

In the first half, Centenary held an 11-3 shot advantage. Cyclones junior midfielder Matt Winkler (Great Meadows, N.J./Hackettstown) had a great scoring opportunity, receiving a cross inside the box and heading it into the upper corner, only to have Meschkow knock it away. In the second, Farmingdale led with a 7-6 shot advantage, but neither team would find the back of the net.

The first overtime was controlled by Centenary with six shots, while Meschkow made four saves in that ten minute period. The second overtime was once again scoreless, with one save per goalkeeper.

The Rams will now host St. Joseph's College in a Skyline Conference game this Wednesday October 13, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.
