
Rams Roll with Win Over Mount Saint Mary

Newburgh, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team
improved to 5-8 overall with a 2-0 victory over Skyline Conference
opponent Mount Saint Mary College (0-9-2, 0-3-2 Skyline). The Rams
now stand at 3-2 in the conference after Saturday's win.
After a scoreless first half, Farmingdale State freshman defender Dennis Sfoglia (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) netted a pass from sophomore midfielder Brian Anderson (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) 8:14 after halftime. The Rams added to their lead two minutes later, as sophomore midfielder Mateusz Aniolowski (Copiague, N.Y./Copiague) scored from the top left of the box.
Farmingdale State held the Knights to only four second half shots, two of which were on goal, en route to a 2-0 road victory.
Junior goalkeeper Ricky Meschkow (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview-Old Bethpage) had two saves in his second consecutive shutout, while Matthew Darling (Staatsburg, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) had 11 saves for Mount Saint Mary.
The Rams next will host Yeshiva University on Tuesday, October 5th at 4:00 p.m.
