Randall's Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team fell, 1-0, in double overtime against Hunter College yesterday in Randall's Island, N.Y. The Rams now stand at 1-3 on the year, while the Hawks improved to 2-1 overall.

During regulation neither team was able to break the scoreless tie. The game was evenly played as Hunter College held a slight 8-7 shot advantage.

In the second overtime, junior forward Anthony Intrabartolo (Glendale, N.Y./Christ the King) fired a shot that was blocked by a Farmingdale State defender. The rebound was picked up by senior midfielder Mario Baez (Astoria, N.Y./Long Island City) and he converted by scoring the game-winning goal for the Hawks 3:19 into the final overtime period.

Junior goalkeeper Ricky Meschkow (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview-Old Bethpage) recorded four saves for Farmingdale State, while junior Zade Haobsh (Wayne, N.Y./DePaul Catholic) had three saves in goal for Hunter.

The Rams next will face Baruch at the Manhattanville Tournament on Friday, September 10th at 5:00 p.m.
